I am looking for the best way to have student papers submitted on a regular
basis to me through our class web on FrontPage. I need to be able to have
students submit their work without FrontPage or the browser stripping the
essay of formatting such as line breaks, underscoring, paragraphing, etc.

This really not a FP related issue, it is the nature of the web. When the content is submitted, what
is suppose to happen with the data, sent in an email, written to a file or stored in a database?

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services:

If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

Wouldn't it be better to use an ftp tool? There's one built right into
Windows -- you just need to have some space set aside on a server that allows
for ftp transfers. Then the students can just upload (it's as easy as
dragging and dropping from one folder to another) the original file, in the
format of the program they used to write the essay.

Ftp is sort of old school, but the ease of it now is totally NU SKUL.
