ESC 480's head is sensitive.

I didn't try the Epson Service Centre, but went to a local computer
hardware plaza. There are people at that plaza who are exceptionally good at
repairing printers of any brand and any style. However, they refused
stoutly to even touch my ESC 480. They said that they would open any other
printer -- even any other brand of Epson printer -- but that they will
not touch ESC 480.

Upon insistence, I only managed to get them to say that ESC 480's
head is very sensitive, and the moment you open it up, it fails to
function properly.

Is that true? Is the head that sensitive?
