go to it when i need to..here is the link that shows me how to restore
starting with step 5... I'm sure I got there from one of these links.. or
one from Alan Edwards responses, I certainly appreciate all responses and a
quick answer.. thanks again.. Rainy

Hi, In future and Past, I always google..:) I looked for an explanation on
how to restore it, I couldn't
find it.. that is why I asked here! As a matter of fact, I am still working
on a problem that I posted here, and no one knew how to resolve it.. I got a
couple of suggestions that didn't work

My font folder is on my desktop..not a short cut, the actualy fonts folder..
there is one in c windows too..:( I could just leave it there, but I know it
doesn't belong there, so I'm googling.. thanks Rainy

ps. didn't mean to reply to your email.. so I'm replying to the group too..

FYI, this is the search keywords I used and I got the solution:
http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=erunt+restore

Regarding the Fonts folder in the Desktop, open Regedit.exe and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace

Delete the sub-key "{D20EA4E1-3957-11d2-A40B-0C5020524152}" (if exists)

Repeat the same in the following branch:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace

thank you thank you thank you!!!!! This folder has been on my desktop for
months.. probably 3 months...and I have wanted it to be gone the whole
time... I only found one instance of D20EA4E1-3957-11d2-A40B-0C5020524152
and it was in Hkey Local Machine. After I deleted the key.. I came to the
desktop to see if magically the fonts folder had disappeared, but it was
still there.. I was so disappointed. :( But I rebooted, and when I came
back.. it was GONE!!! I can't tell you how happy this makes me.. Thanks
again..!! Rainy
