hi, i'm using compaq presario 3125au with microsoft windows xp home edition.
few days back i was having a problem with my laptop as it was giving me some
errors.it will automatically restarts whenever i on it. so since i'm an
computer freak i recover my windows using the hp recovery disk.but after i
recovered the same error happened. so i ask my friend he gave me a original
windows xp home edition. and so i recovered fromk tht cd and then it was
runnning normally(no errors). and it had ask me to activate the windows.then
i was thinking that if i used tht cd i would lose my license and i'm gonna
migrate into the pirated windows. so i decided to re-recover my originasl
windows using my hp recovery disk. it start at last but after i install most
of my apllication and start changing my wall paper it gave me an error
message.

Application popup: Explorer.EXE - Application Error : The instruction at
"0x7c9106c3" referenced memory at "0x77f69b0a". The memory could not be
"written".

so i chose to debug and it hang but the mouse was still working. and after a
while the a pop-up pops and said tht the drwatson had some errors and ask me
to send the error to microsoft or no or debug. since i was not connected to
the internet i said dont send. after a few days i tried again the same thing
happen again when i was changing my wallpaper. i tried to search some forums
but there was no answer. plz help me.thx

go through these cleaning steps to see or get a clear opinion on how
clean your machine is:

On the IE properties windows you will see these Tabs:

Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
[ ] Disable script Debugging (internet Explorer) <= check this box
[ ] Disable Script Debugging (Other) <= check this box

Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
