i try to open certain things that i have downloaded and
this pop up comes up saying that it has encountered a
problem and must cancel the operation. is there any
download to fix it?

Does this only happen with a specific file type or are there multiple file
types with which this happens? Does this happen with files from most sits
or just few or maybe one site? What type of download, are these files from
file sharing sites such as Kazaa or are these other types of sites?
