Matteo Cima

hi,
i've tested this more and found issues on serial communications.

here's what i did:

downloaded microsoft's ppc comm example
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...de-63ba-4e49-b9a3-2d3b9cef4aa5&DisplayLang=en

made it run on a compaq ipaq 3630.

opened hyperterminal

connection on com1 19200 8,n,1 no control
same on ipaq (yes, com1 are the correct ports and the cable is connented.
Yes, ppc is connected to power so no battery problem)

opened port on ppc

just press several "a" on hyperterminal, let's say "aaaaa"

what appears on ppc?
it displays ascii so, should be 97979797

NO!!!

it's 972259797225

ok... let's say that might be unicode data... but the pattern "97225" is not
repeated...

let's press "bbbbb"

even better: "989822698226"

I dont't know what to say...
i NEED to transfer data on com...

Any help appreciated,
Matteo Cima.

There's got to be something strange in your environment or setup since
you've had probelms with two libraries so far (both of which I've used
successfully). Are you sure you've got the right baud rates? Are you sure
the line data is clean? Are you using parity, handshaking or anything like
that? Does it match on both ends?
