Windows XP Errors whilst converting from FAT32 to NTFS

Hey

I keep getting an error after CHKDISK when converting from FAT32 to NTFS. It says it is converting after telling me how much disk space is needed, but an error comes up really quickly saying an error with a volume or something, but dissappears so quick I can't see what it is. How can I trace this error message, is it on a log somewhere? My PC then reboots, but as FAT32.

I would get partition magic or something similar and try and convert with that instead. Or try running a chkdsk /r from a command prompt and then try and convert again.
