Errors while shutting down

I recently upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP. I love it! But, when I shut down I get error messages saying ccApp is not responding. I know this has something to do with my Norton Anti-Virus. But how do I fix it. I have recently noticed that my task bar takes a long time to get started when I boot up my system. Are these to items related? How can I get this figured out??

No help. It says basically the same thing I have seen before. It says that ccApp is needed. It also says the error message is no big deal. But I get it everytime I shut down. I also get other error messages while shutting down. They go so fast I cant read them. The first is ccApp, and then explorer.exe and there is another one or two. I would love to get this fixed.

Try this:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_reg_edits.htm

Automatically Close Non-Responding Applications on Shutdown

Start/Run/Regedit
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop, Value Name: AutoEndTasks, Data Type:
REG_SZ (String Value), Value Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled). Modify the
value of 'AutoEndTasks' to equal '1' to automatically end tasks or '0' to
prompt for action. Note: This change will affect all users but the value can
also be changed on a user-by-user basis by modifying [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control
Panel\Desktop] with the same values.

I'll give this a try. I was also thinking of un-installing Norton and Live Update and going through the registry and deleting all references to symantec. Then Re-Installing. I think that may have caused the problem. I had lost Norton and then re-installed it prior to loading XP. Maybe I have some conflicting registry entries?? Thanks for your help! I'll let ya know.
