I apologize if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it
searching this newsgroup.

In the Microsoft AntiSpyware folder I find a file named errors.log that
is 4GB (4,294,967,299 bytes) large. I cannot open it with anything to
inspect its contents.

What is it? Is it normal to be that large?

Thanks,
PBW

OK, I have been able to open and view it (with my web browser). It
contains the following message, millions of times:
"91::ln 0:Object variable or With block variable not
set::gcasDtServ:modThreatData:Initialize::2005-06-18 21:27:34:1.0.509"

I assume that there was some kind of problem at that time.
Can I just delete it, and will it be reallocaded?

Thanks again,
PBW

You can shutdown temporarily MSAS process (using tray icon for example) and
delete the log. Then start MSAS again.
