Why is the errors.log file so big. Mine is 1.5G...what
exactly is it logging for it to be this size. CAn you
restrict the size of the file??

Thank
Ray.

I think it has something to do with multiple users and limited accounts not
being supported in the beta 1 release of Microsoft AntiSpyware.

Shut down Microsoft AntiSpyware from notification area, right click the
AntiSpyware icon and click "Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware. Navigate back to
c:\program files\Microsoft AntiSpyware and delete the error log then restart
your computer.

This is a bug. stop Microsoft Antispyware and delete the file. Keep an eye
on it. You can't limit the size--it can grow to 4 gigs on an NTFS
partition.

Hi

"Houseclean" your PC, use this "ammo".

- Download/Install CCleaner, www.ccleaner.com, removes all temporarily
junk

- Download/Install Lavasofts Adaware, also removes tracking cookies.

http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022-10319876.html?tag=list

- Download/Install Spybot.

All scans then in safe mode, press F8 during reboot.

- Delete error.log

- Start CCleaner and remove all temporarily junk.

- Start MSAS, choose fullscan with all options checked and scan.

- Also choose fullscan within Adaware and scan.

- Start Spybot and scan

- Restart, check your error.log if it grows. (error.log recreates after
restart)

Thanks for the replys. There isn't much information out
there in relation to this log file. I couldn't even find
it on the microsoft site.

Thanks again.
Ray.

Thats because its beta, I guess its expected that you should find
information about it in the support groups, not even I know the significant
purpose of it and its tendency to get obese.

Hello Ray,

I had the same a giant MSA error log file.
I install MSA again and the problem was over!

Mine has never got bigger than 6kb. However, this is a
stand alone PC with one user account only.

Expect this annoying .log to disappear on the next
version of MSAS.

error.log got something to do with MSAS not supporting
Multiple User Account on window xp with limited account
