Errors 80042108 & cannot send attachments

I keep getting an error message: Cannot connect to POP3
server - error #80042108.

I too can no longer send e-mails with attachments. This
is now costing me $$$$ in lost revenue.

Any suggestions out there?

Are you sure you're not able to send mail? The error message you give means
that you can't connect to the server to *receive* mail. Sending will use a
different server and return a different error message (0x80042109) if it
can't connect.

Do you have any anti-virus or anti-spam software installed? If so, try
turning off its mail scanning. If that corrects the problem, contact the
software vendor to see if there's an update to fix the problem.
