I have just installed Outlook 2003, and unable to send or receive in any of my 5 Hotmail and 1 Comcast accounts. The first error is for Hotmail: Folder Inbox Synchronizing header..Access to the account was denied. Verify that your user name and password are correct. The server responded "Authorization required." The second error message is for the POP3 account: Your mailbox is temporarily unavailable because another e-mail is being delivered or another mail application is accessing it. The server responded: -ERR box locked

Tried verifying all settings, and can't find any further info to correct this, and get my mail!

Thanks

Connie

I have the same problem (errors 0x800ccc32). i have tried the cookie thing, and I have tried recreating my email profile. Sometimes it work sometimes it doesn't

I have tried it with Outlook express, and get the same error

Any other suggestions?

I had set up hotmail and comcast as "allow all" (I had
read the support question previously). I also deleted my
accounts, and re-installed my default email. No go.
Still have the problem. I find almost nothing about
these errors. I don't know what to try next.

I finally got it fixed, this is what I did

1. delete temporary internetfile
2. delete cookie
3. In Internet Explorer Go to Tools>> Internet options>> Security>> Internet>> Custom level>> (scroll all the way down) mark "Prompt for user name and password>> klick ok, o
4. Do number 3 one more time, but this time instead of Internet, do it for trusted sites

Don't know if this will work forever, but it worked for me.
I have tried everything that MS has thrown at me so far without luck, so I decided to tinker around a bit. Good luck..
