You quite possibly need professional assistance with this. In particular,
if there's data that you wanted on that drive, you should not even attempt
to use a Windows disk to recover at this point - even if you could find it.
Find someone who can attach your system's drive to theirs, and copy all the
data off. Then, you can consider what to do to fix the problem.
And yes, the exact error message is needed. XP doesn't need to boot from
floppies, the XP CD is bootable. If yours is a manufacturer's restore CD -
these often can't do repairs by any method other than wiping the drive,
which erases all your data.
