Running a rock solid XP setup (Pentium 4G memory etc). When I run Vista
Upgrade Advisor I get:-

Application has generated an exception that could not be handeled
Process id- 0x538 (136), Tread id 0x204 (516)

Anybody got a clue what the problem is?

First guess would be the 4GB RAM, as this often needs special handling.

Since you state your XP install is rock-solid, I would go ahead with the
Vista upgrade despite with the Upgrade Adviser states. <G>

I find this hard to believe. Just because I go from 2 to 4 Gb RAM it does
not work. Anybody else comments?

John - you tried the advisor with XP at 2 GB?

I do. Not related to memory.
Was related to .net runtime libraries.
I think i had to install .net 2, and msxml version 6...?
