I am trying to install Windows 2000 Server and I get the
following error:

STOP:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

I tried restarting but does not help.

I already have Win 2K Server on C drive. I want to install
one more copy on F drive. Is this possible? Or is this the
reason why I am getting this error?

Thanks

MAhesh

To do a clean install, either boot the Windows 2000 install CD-Rom or setup
disks. The set of four install disks can be created from your Windows 2000
CD-Rom; change to the \bootdisk directory on the CD-Rom and execute
makeboot.exe (from dos) or makebt32.exe (from 32 bit) and follow the prompts
choosing the unallocated space for the second install.

I tried clean install and I never got an option to install
the new OS onto the unallocated space. Instead it was
automatically installed on the C drive partition.

Can I delete a logical partition?

Will then I get an option to install OS onto the
unallocated disk space?

That's because there apparently isn't an unallocated space. Assuming D, E
isn't a problem, from the install on the system partition run Disk
Management and delete the logical drive then delete the extended partition.
Then boot the Windows 2000 install CD-Rom or setup disks and install to the
unallocated space for the second install.
