Hi all ,

Me again.

i was trying to enter a website and everytime I try I get the below message.
Can you please help.

Thanks in advance.

Unforeseen database error, noted.
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not query database for theme info

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that
corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ''
at line 3

Hi Andrew ,

And anyone else reading this.

Thanks for the responce , but I haven't a clue what it means. I am a
complete idiot when it comes to computers and tec stuff and need things
explained as if I were a 5 year old. the problem in question first appeared
today and prior to that I had no problems enter the site in question or any
other sites for that matter.

Please explain in plain English what I have to do to fix this problem.

Kind regards
JC

This assumes that you are not running:
-- phpBB
-- any SQL database work on your computer.

From your rather vague description, I suspect that error has nothing to
do with you or your system. It comes from the web site you are trying
to access.
It would appear that whoever wrote the code for the page failed to
turn off error messages so you are seeing them and getting all of their
output when there is a failure error. A message such as that should
only be seen by the author of the phpBB, not anyone accessing or trying
to access his site. So if that's not you, it's not a problem in your
side of the connection. It's a common mistake many inexperienced people
and even the gurus now and then make.
If I'm right, the fix would have to be done by whoever wrote the
website. They might appreciate your alerting them to it.

HTH,

Twayne`

As I indicated in an earlier post, there is nothing you can do about it.
There is no problem with your machine. The problem is minimum two-fold
and exists at the web site you are trying to access. The site owner
might appreciate being alerted to what you are seeing as his page is
giving out informaion no one but he should ever see.

....and most of us are not clairvoyant.

If it is possible to do so without compromising yourself, please
reveal the WWW page address and the browser you are using.

Then you can beat them up.
