The address/subject you are sending is either blocked by your ISP or plain
wrong?

Did you edit the error message?

I have the same problem, which I didn't discover until a week or so had
passed and none of my emails had been sent. I probably missed an appointment
from our governor because of this!

If you had the same problem, then you should have gotten the same error
message, which would be an indication that something was amiss.

hg's problem seems to be that she entered an incorrect email address, or has
incorrect server settings.
Both of which would prevent sending email, regardless of the operating
system.

Don't assume that because your symptom is similar to
someone else's, you have the same problem.
Always include a verbatim copy of the error message,
or if there is no error message, describe the symptoms
in detail.
