That seems like it might be the problem. Only now I'm faced with a bigger,
non-MM2 related problem...hard-drive space. What 1GB of space was used for a
MPEG-2 1 hour, 20 minute video takes about 18GB in AVI. Multiply 18GB times
25, you get 450+GB on a hard-drive that only has about 30 free GB left out of
80. Looks like I'll have to edit it one at a time....

Loss of quality is not a problem at all. I've been searching around your
site while I was waiting for the conversion of .MPG (MPEG-2) to .AVI and I
stumbled across something for Recorded TV (which is what I was downloading to
use) that would use those files to go to .WMV. Would that work? Or do you
have another suggestion?

Let me change that, I just realized that Recorded TV is something completely
different. Apparently there is some program or special device that is called
"Recorded TV" but not actual Recorded TV. Let me put a question this way: I
have DVD Player/Recorder connected to my TV that I use. When I put the files
it makes on the DVDs in the computer, I get the standard DVD files (.VOB,
..IFO, .BUP). So, what is the best way to convert these files to work in MM2?
