When I map drive to H; and copy a file that is 4.5 Gb I
get the following error:

Cannot copy Filename: the path is to deep.

I have also tried to used windows backup but if fails with:

Windows was unable to save all the data for the file
\device\lanmanredirector\computername\dir\filename. The
data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure
of your computer hardware or network connection. PLease
try to save this file elsewhere.

I have tried different network server; but I get the same
error.

If I use Veritas backup for lans I also get an error?

Hello Richard,
180410 Cannot Access Folder Because the Path Is Too Long or Deep
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=180410

This could also be caused by Packet Loss, to verify obtain a network trace
to see if packets are being dropped.

Also, problem with incompatiable network adpater or driver, swithch,
cabling, vpn client software, router or port being misconfigured.

Thank You.

Diana.
