Hi,

I am getting some issues when I have burnt a CD with applications from one
machine, and then bringing the CD on to my machine and trying to run the
applications, I am getting errors regarding the file.

thefiles I am copying are either .zip files, or .exe file.

when trying to open a zip file, I am getting 'CRC invalid' for that file.
when i try to run the .exe file, I am presented with an error suggesting
that the file is corrupted.

i try these both directly from the CD, and copied to my loac hard drive.

When i try it on other machines (W2k, or WXP) it all seems to work fine.

The really interesting part, is that I also have other media device types,
and one of them is an old ORB drive. I am getting the same errors when I
get files of that too.

Has anyone come accross this issue?

Any suggestion??

[I am using Windows 2000]

Thanks

Not a hardware issue most likely.

Make sure you are using the same versino of WinZIP or WinRAR, etc. at both
locations.

If it is a hardware problem, try using a different media.

Finally, do you REALLY need to ZIP something if you're dumping it to a CD?
