Error When Closing Internet Explorer

This error message has been appearing on my screen when I close IE: "The
instruction at 0x77279ab3 referenced memory at 0x7dc48950. The memory could
not be read." It's been showing up at random times for a couple of months
now. I searched this newsgroup for similar topics and tried to follow what
people posted, but it didn't help. I disabled the third party browser
extensions and checked for toolbar programs. Then I did a virus scan, deleted
my cookies and temporary internet files, used the Microsoft and AOL spyware
programs, used Ad-Aware and even downloaded a spyware blocker program called
Spyware Blaster. All the programs tell me my computer is fine, but I still
see the message. I didn't download Hijack This like someone posted because I
was afraid of accidently deleting something important off my computer. Does
anyone have any more suggestions on how to get rid of this error message?
Thanks!

Hi,
Try this fix from here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899811/en-us
This error message can be the cult of many causes for ex:
-A bad memory sticks can cause this errror
-A bad written Installed softwares also can be a pain for the OS to handel
and messy
-A corrupt or messing Files/Folder on the Operating system.
-A defective Hardware driver for ex( printer, cam, scanner...etc).
even the Anti-Virus can cause such an error.
Try to look in the Event viewer for more error messages and post them here
if any.

Try making notes of what you are doing when it happens.
There may be a common factor that you're not thinking of.
E.g. one user discovered an apparent incompatibility between
IE and an Office-installed module.

http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general/msg/dd28526529a29461

That case wouldn't be found using any of the diagnosis you have tried
so far.

BTW as with the above case the crash address that you have
could be suspicious and indicate the involvement of a third-party module.
You could use the techniques I suggested to that poster
but for a start just capture the Error Signature. That could tell us
if there is a module name associated with that address range
(e.g. 0x77270000, etc.)

I saw the message on my computer again after about a month. This time I
copied what was in my event viewer. This is what the message says:
Application popup: iexplore.exe - Application Error : The instruction at
"0x77279ae7" referenced memory at "0x7dc48950". The memory could not be
"read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

So I guess I have two different error messages that show up. It randomly
pops up every once in awhile when I close internet explorer. I went to the
link with the fix that nass posted, but I didn't see how to download it. Plus
that fix is for the error when viewing websites in internet explorer. My
problem is when I close the program. Does anyone have any idea what I should
do now since I was able to locate the error message in my event viewer?

I don't think my topic went to the front page when I replied earlier this
month, so I'll try posting it again. Can someone help me with my problem?
