Error when accessing website

For the last couple of weeks I've been unable to regularly open my online
website. More often that not and I get the message:
"Server error: Error 2 opening registry key "SOFTWARE\Microsoft Shared
Tools\Web Server Extensions\Ports\Port 80"
I run FP2003 on Windows XP, both fully updated. The baffling thing is that
occasionally the error message doesn't appear and I get to open my online
website. It seems totally random, but somehow related to my laptop's registry
(?), as I can open the site from my office PC. I've tried to disable Norton
Internet Security, MS Anti-Spyware, etc. to no avail. Any ideas of where the
bug may be hiding?

This is not going to work. I get the port 80 error. However, with XP home I
do not have IIS and cannot install the extensions. The extensions are not on
my CD either.
This is a new problem created by Microsoft, in that I had no problem until I
updated FP with the latest stuff. I do not need the extensions, I do not want
them (Sam I am). How can I update my website with software that stops itself?

Neal:

My problem was finally resolved when the provider hosting the website
reinstalled the FP extensions on their server. I never had a problem
eversince...
