I am running Outlook 2002 under Windows XP SP1.
The backup utility was working fine and backing up my Personal Folders and
Hotmail Folders. I recently got rid of the Hotmail folders because they were
causing too many timeouts (probably because the Hotmail servers were busy).
However, now after I close Oulook and I click the "backup" button in the
backup utility window, I get the following error:
"Cannot copy Outlook: Invalid MS-DOS function"
(The window title bar reads "Error Copying Files or Folder")
The backup was being saved to a directory on my harddrive.
I have tried to uninstall and re-install the utility but I keep getting the
same error. The "Backup" option is available under the Outlook "File" menu
so obviously it is available and is installed. Also the fact that it
attempts to create a backup also means that it is installed.
Any ideas anyone? I have tried searching for this error in the MS KB and
Google but have not discovered it anywhere.
I would appreciate any help!
Thank You.
