Error trying to create a Second DC

I set up an Advanced Server, made it the first DC by
running the Configure My Server wizard. This
automatically set up the AD, DHCP and DNS. I chose M7VIK
as the name of the computer (from the motherboard type),
Technical as the Domain name and WordofMouthComputer
Service.local for the field in the wizard. After it was
up and running, I set up AdvSrvr on a second computer,
naming it M570 (again from the type of motherboard). I
made it a memeber of the Technical Domain and after
restarting, was able to log in. When I tried to make it a
second DC, everything appeared to be going just great, the
process message said "Creating the ntdsa object for the
server M7VIK", then the display changed to "Active
Directory Installation Failed" with the following long
error message:

The Directory Service Failed to create the server object
for CN=NTDS Settings,CN=M570,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-
Site,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=Technical,DC=WordofMouthC
omputerServices,DC=local on server M7VIK. Pleae ensure
the network credentials provided have sufficient access to
add a replica.

A Service Provider Name (SPN) could not be created because
the provided hostname is not in the necessary format.

So I tried a second computer, this one had a VA-503A
motherboard and received the same results. Then I tried
reinstalling AS on the first computer and
tried "WordofMouthComputerService.com". Same result.

Went to Microsofts Knowledgebase and did not get much help
there. That is why I am here. . . . .

I also tried to reinstall AS a third time on the original
computer and this time did none of the updates to the
original install other than update the install with the
motherboard, video card, and NIC drivers. Same result.

If anyone can asist me, I would be most grateful.

Thank you,

David Adams

It looks like your domain name is too long.

Same error... Not too long of a domain

I have the same error as the original poster, but I dont have a long domain name... Anyone else ever seen this problem? I have installed additional domain controllers in the past without any problems, but now I can't add a third one. Nothing in any event logs...
