"The ordinal 1001 could not be located in the dynamic link library
WSOCK32.dll."
I started getting this message when I tried to run IPCONFIG.EXE from a
command prompt on Win XP Profl. Quite a few people on the web had a
similar problem.
Turns out my PATH env variable was messed up. There was a ";" missing
between two of the directory names, probably caused by a poor
installation program.
In the SYSTEM control panel under the ADVANCED tab, click the
"environment variables" button and carefully check the path variable in
the lower section.
