Sean

I keep getting this error on when I try to address one of
my 2000 servers. The only system on the network that can
get to it is itself. I can use pcanywhere to get to it
using it's name, but if I try to use \\<server name> it
gives me this error. I can ping it from the command line
Ping <server name>. It is also my exchange server and
outlook has no problem finding it. I can't find it on the
network either, but that goes without saying.

I am running 2000 server. Please help.

It means that its netbios names are not known by your PC.
Do you use WINS, if yes verify that your server is a
client of the WINS and that it is registered.
