Don't know if you've found a fix yet. I found that when I
uninstalled it and installed OfficeXP, Outlook wouldn't
work there either. Here's what I did and I'm up and
running. Caveat emptor!
Look in the registry for these values. I was missing
most. Supposedly, uninstalling tcp/ip and reinstalling
with a reboot in between will fix this, but it did not
for me. So I just added them using regedit. Put all of
this (below) in a file, rpc.reg or something, and run it.
But check to see what you have in there before. All of th
eones below should be safe to add regardless of what you
have on the system. I believe that the tcp and maybe the
udp ones are the most important for this problem.
I still needed to uninstall and reinstall Office 2003
Beta to get it to work. Good luck!
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\ClientProtocols
]
"ncacn_np"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncacn_ip_tcp"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncadg_ip_udp"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncacn_http"="rpcrt4.dll"
