Running Win2000pro on a desktop. I went to Windows update
and it said I had two critical updates available. I ran
the updates and everthing seemed fine until I shut off the
computer and restarted. It boots past the windows logo and
shows the blue background screen just before the desk
icons would show, but the icons don't show. I get the
following error: "Security accounts manager initialization
failed because of the following error:the security ID
structure is invalid error status:0xc0000078."
I tried to boot in safe mode and got the same error. I
don't remember what the two critical updates were. I thank
you in advance for your help.
