error saying i didnt shutdown the pc correctly...

I get an error message whenever i restart or shut down
and then turn the computer back on saying I did not shut
the computer down properly, when i clearly did by using
the start menu, turn off computer button, then clicking
turn off, or restart. its really annoying. Then it tells
me to make a choice (i.e. Start windows in safe mode, or
start windows using last settings that worked) and even
after selecting the use last settings one, it still
displayes the error when i restart, no matter what...
someone toss me an idea, because its a brand new
computer...

For a brand new system, your first source should be the manufacturer to
check for any known issues with that systems configuration.

If that comes up empty, MVP Jim Eshelman has an excellent Shutdown
