Hi Again All,

the problem remains

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Hi All,

Got a problem puzzelling me on a Win 98 based system using
IE6.

I can connect to the Internet and collect email etc with
no problems. However, on certain sites, and only on
certain links (which link changes each time)it will pop up
with the 'Explorer error' window, asking if you want to
send an error report and if it should re-start Internet
Explorer. Every time I send a report and it does not find
a help link to send to or suggest the problem.

One error report suggested it was a problem with
the 'MSVBVM60.DLL' file so I downloaded and replaced that
one and another said it was a problem with
the 'MSVCRT.DLL' file. I have downloaded this but am
unable to install it as windows is using the original.

I have ran the IE6 repair tool, conducted a reg clean,
removed all spyware, checked for hacking software, re-set
security settings to default, checked for virus' (using on
line scan), conducted a defrag, scanned the HD and re-
installed windows over the top of itself. I have also
downloaded all available updates and re-downloaded and
installed IE 6 seperatly.

After all this, it still does the same.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Brian

Hi,

The same problem to me. "Internet Explorer has detected a
problem and needs to close". In the error message I could
find the following:

Ver. 6.0.2800.1106
Mod msvcrt.dll
Ver 6.1.8293.0
Offset 00015ca2

There is consistency in the problem. For example I have
always that trouble when starting Yahoo.com but never with
Google.com.

My computer is running Windows 98 second edition.

Due to this persistent problem I can't work with IE6. I am
browsing now Opera without any problem but I would like to
fix IE6. Help please!.
