error report

Every now and then I get this message from Microsoft Internet Explorer, that it has encountered a problem and needs to close.I then have to restart (automatically)

Appl.Name: iexplore.ex
Appl.Vers.: 6.0.2800.110
Mod.Name: wcadw0.dl
Mod.Vers.: 0.0.0.
Offset: 00020e3

I am using MS IE6 on a win 98SE machin

If some one could help me out it would be greatly appreciated
 
Looks like you might have a spybot or browser helper object installed. A Google search didn't find "wcadw0.dll", but found a reference for "wcadw.dll"

If you installed a browser helper, then uninstall it. Do a system and registry search for "wcadw0.dll" file and make sure it's gone

I have a similar problem. Did you ever get any help ?

IE6 Crashes on Launch every time for me. I am on Win2000
platform and when the windows error message dialog comes up
I get prompted see what data this error report contains:

Appname: Iexplore.exe
Appver 602800.1106
ModName: winshow.dll
Modver: 1.0.0.6
Offset 00005767

I've tried reinstalling and I have the latest build of
Win2000 and security patches. What the hell ? This is
messing me up big time as I need IE for several business uses.

What I did to fix the problem is go to the control panel, then add/remove programs, scroll down until you see microsoft internet explorer 6 and internet tools and click remove. Another window will popup with 3 options to chose. Select the one that says restore the previous windows config

When that finished, I then went to microsoft site and downloaded MS IE6 again. Everything seems to be working correctly after that. Good luck.
