Error received on some power point slides

I received some emails, when I open the email a message appears on the
screen: Some controls on this presentation can't be activated. They might
not be registered on this computer.

How do I rectify this problem? Is the problem in Powerpoint?

In a nutshell, the problem is that whoever created the presentation used a
"control" (a bit of extra software) that was installed on their computer, but
that you don't have on yours.
