When I print from any application within Vista Home Premium, I get a Popup .
"xxxxxxxx has stopped working"
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close
the program and noify you if a solution is available"
Where xxxxxxxx is the program you are running, IE, Excel, Notepad, any
program.

When Looking at Eventviewer, it indicates its an application error with
Event ID of 1000.
It has a message "Faulting application WINWORD.EXE (or whatever the app is)
version 9.0.0.3822, time stamp 0x38b56792, fualting module GDI32.dll, version
6.0.6000.16386, time stamp 0x4549bcd3, exception code 0xc0000005, fult offset
0x00034202, process id 0xb60, application start time 0x01c7bdebbb9b47c5."

This happend on all printers (local and remote).
I deleted all printers.
Reinstalled the latest drivers for my HP Deskjet 5420 which is local.
Still the same error.

Any suggestions?

Since the faulting application is Word, did you try uninstalling and
reinstalling Word (or Office)?

Actually, it happens with all types of apps. Word, Excel, Notepad, etc...
Offending DLL is usually GDI32.DLL.

My support is past the 90 days (by a couple of days), so email, chat or phone
support for Vista all want $59.

Some other examples...in addition to printing from any application.
If I bring up the Command Window, I get a similer error. All of the same
popups. However, the eventviewer shows the faulting module as CMD.EXE.
If I'm in Word or Excel and the little "HELPER" pops up (or hit F1 to get
help), I get the same series of popups, but eventviewer shows the offending
module as GDI32.DLL again (and faulting application as agensvr.exe).
