Error Printing Email from Outlook
I get an error printing an email from Outlook 2000. The
computer is running Win2K. I had this problem before
updating to SP4 and IE6.01. Update didn't fix it.

The error is
Line 1344
Char 1
Unspecified Error
Code 0
res://c/:\winnt\system32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg
I will also warn you - I have tried changing printer
drivers- It is an HP 4200. I have also tried to print to
other printers on the network.

I can print everything else - even in Outlook, just not
email. I can forward the email to another computer and it
prints fine.

I have checked the dispex.dll version and replaced the
file.

Nothing has worked.

I've got exactly the same problem with the same program combination, but it
also occurs in Outlook Express. Some messages will print, but most don't.
I am printing to a HP LaserJet 4Si on the network. Other similar computers
don't seem to have the problem.

I've got the same problem.....win2k pro sp4, ie 6.0 sp1,
outlook express 6..........unable to print any email. I'm
asking around for help and if I find an answer I'll post
it here.

Same problem:
Windows XP SP1
IE 6.0 SP1
Outlook 2003 beta from SBS2003 Preview kit.

No luck so far.. It only happened for me when I installed
the Outlook 2003 beta, now I can't get it to stop. Even
uninstalling OL2K3 does not solve the problem.

Note: This only seems to happen on .HTML formatted
messages, and it's line 1343 in Outlook 2003.

Help!

I'd wager it is related to all those security hot fixes we keep installing,
but which one is the question.

I'm not sure, I've installed Outlook 2003 on a WinXP
machine, and I've also installed the edition of it that
came with the SBS2K3 preview kit, both of them have had
the error. It leads me to believe that it's machine
specific, as no one else in my organization is having this
problem. I've posted this question in a bunch of other
forums, and if I get any good information, I'll be sure to
let you guys know!

Same problem here. I have two pc's doing it. One runs
Outlook express 6.0 and the other Outlook 2002.
If anyone can help that would be helpfull, this problem is
on work computers.

I'm having a hard time getting anyone from Microsoft to
even acknowledge that they know of this problem. I spoke
with one person who was on the Outlook 2K3 beta testing
program (internally) and he mentioned that they
were 'looking into it' because it only happened on a very
small percentage of machines.

Well. That's a relief.

Can I get someone from MSFT to please acknowledge this is
a problem and they're working on it? The only workaround
is to cut and paste the text into MS Word, or an equally
ambivolent word processor. While this works functionally,
it is NOT a good enough workaround for me to ignore this
problem.

I've also (as I previously stated) posted this problem in
about 400 different forums, and the only replies I've
gotten are more people with the same issue.

Please help!

I have had the same problem and tried everything I could find in the
newsgroups. I then logged on with a different account and it worked
fine. So I copied my docs, favorites etc. from the specific user
profile folder. then removed the profile by right clicking on my
computer then properties(system properties) -> User Profiles. logged
out and back on with the account that uses this particular laptop and
everything is working fine. Hope this helps someone

Has anyone found a solution to this? We have an XP Pro
machine running Outlook 2002 which had to have XP re-
installed due to a crash whilst installing a Microsoft
Critical Update. After the re-install (on Microsoft
Supports advice) we lost the link with Exchange Server
which we resolved by following an article in the MS
Knowledge Base about copying the registry key from
another machine. All appeared OK until we tried to print
an email, attachments printed fine; but emails brought up
an error message "NOT IMPLEMENTED". On examination
several other functions displayed a similar message. Has
anyone got any ideas as to what's going on?

The bogus Microsoft thingy is a worm...very cleverly done, except Microsoft
doesn't do things that way.

Dear All,

I jiggered the security settings on Outlook and it started printing a few
messages before falling back to the old problem. Have latest updates on W2K
with Outlook 2000 and OE 6. Both mail clients have the problem. I may have
to change mail clients if this keeps up.
