Error: Operation was attempted on something that is not a socket

I have trouble in browsing websites (DSL connection works). After running
"ipconfig/renew", this message showed up.

The following effor occured when renewing adapter Local Area Connection:
Operation was attempted on something that is not a socket.

SBC Global staff told me to obtain TCP/IP driver. But I can not find a
download site in Microsoft/Dell.com (my PC is from Dell). Dell support staff
does not give me a solution...

Where can I download "TCP/IP driver" for Win 2000?
