I recently removed the trial version of MS Office and the SQL from my
computer and now I get this message on startup:
"Your SQL Server installation is either corrupt or has ben tampered with
(Could not open SQLEVN70.rll). Please uninstall the re-run setup to correct
the problem."
Where do I reinstall from? I have a MSOffice 2003 and tried to install that
and still get the error.

It is Windows XP Service pack 3, MSOffice XP (and now 2003). Do I need to
reinstall Office XP?

Thanks for the help

the error message clearly
states that it is your old
sql program that is corrupted.

if you look in services via
admin tools,

you will likely find the sql
service.

if so, then right click on it
and select disable.

perhaps it will resolve the
error.
--------------------

however, the message also
states that you might want
to reinstall the sql program

that way all the files can be
reloaded into the o.s.

then you can retry an uninstall
via a/r programs.
--------------------

perhaps you might simply try
to execute a system restore
point.

the system restore point should
revert the system back to a
functional state and you can

either leave well enough alone
or retry the de installation of
the programs via add/remove
