When I go to www.apple.com/trailers, there should have
eight pictures shown on the screen, but I don't know why
my computer suddenly can't show the pictures and just
blank in that area.

(I think I must have changed some settings)

Can anybody give me some advices?

Thanks

Always disclose your OS and version and your IE version
when you need assistance. Please. It makes answering
questions and giving advice *much* simpler.

In this case it is also necessary to know if you have any graphics tools
which may have taken over the default associations for .jpg files.
Right-click on one of the missing images and use its Properties dialog
to find its URL. Then copy that into your Address bar and see what happens
if you try to open just it.

There are other ways to find the full URL. E.g. you could use the Privacy
Report (Alt-V,v), select one of the .jpg images, and see it listed for a
message about its non-existent Privacy Policy after you choose Summary.
Another way, which often does not include the full path, but at least allows
the portions it does show to be easily captured, is to use View Source
(right-click, View Source somewhere on the background) and then find
the <img src= tag for the image you want to check.

Good luck

Hi, thanks for your information. I am using XP home edition and IE6.
As I said, when I go to www.apple.com/trailers, the eight pictures which are
supposed to show up on my screen are not shown up at all. That area is just
blank but other things of that webpage are fine.

When I move the mouse to where the pictures should be, there is nothing
happened no matter I right click or left click my mouse. It just lke that
part is in fact blank at all. But when I use other computer to visit this
website, everything's fine and the pictures are shown up normally. Soit is
definitely no the problem of the webpage.

Besides, this problem happened in my computer before, but after while. it
works again. So I guess I must have changed some settings of my computer or
the firewall ( I am using ZoneAlarm Pro and Norton Personal firewall )

There are also some other problems of my IE, eg. pull down menu in some
webstes don't work, cannot get the enlarged picture when I click the link,
the homepage of IE always changed to a website: www.search.cc/ ......, etc

Will it be the problem of the javascripts or plugins or something else? I
completely have no idea.

Please give some advices. Thanks in advance.

Not necessarily. Since you have two computers with two different
results to the same test you could use View Source on each,
save the two files and compare them. If you really don't have source
for the missing images on the computer where they don't display you
would have explained your symptom. But if the source files are identical
then clearly the problem is not the webpage but the browser not being
able to render it properly for some unknown reason.

Are you allowing either of those products to alter the HTTP datastream?
Try disabling such functions and see if your symptoms change.

Such problems would not be relevant to the problem described
although they both could be due to malware.

Good luck
