error on page

I am having difficulty with "error on page" notes that do not allow me to dig
deeper into a site. Not ALL SITES BUT MANY.
For example, I go to a page that I am a member of and try to change a
currency setting in my cart. When I click on change currency, "error on page"
shows up bottom left and nothing else happens. This has happened on several
sites with both my PC and laptop both using IE 7. It's getting very
frustrating! Can someone help please?
I posted this on the wrong forum this morning so maybe this is the right
place.

Thanks

1. You might want to refresh your scripting engine:

2. Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

2a. Start | Run | Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start | Run | Regsvr32 jscript.dll

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

5a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

5b. Find the hijacker that caused 5a to be checked (or if none were checked,
check for hijackware anyway):

Thank you Frank,

I did all you suggested right down to and including Item # 3, still having
same problem. I am one of the users of a Yahoo Forums page, and when I try to
reply to a post, it won't let me due to "error on page"
If i roll over the reply instead of clicking on it I get "javascript
reg(14392)" and then when I click I get the error on page message. Don't know
if that has anuthing to do with it. I'm not a stranger to computers but by no
means anything close to a newbie techie on this and other internal functions.
I can use them but have trouble doing some fixes because of concerns of doing
something wrong.

Thanks
