I've Outlook 2003.
I've create a New Folder in my MailBox
I want create a customized default message for this folder but I've any
problems.

Tools-->Forms-->Design a Form. Select Message --> open.
Modify the form e click in Tools-->Forms-->Publish Form As. Select my New
Folder and Click YES in MessageBox for the check "Save Form Definition with
Item".

In proprieties on my New Folder and Select in DDL the Custom Form but I've a
problem: "You cannot create an item of this type in this folder".

This because the Custom Form isn't a IPM.Post, but is a IPM.Note????
How Can I make?

Message forms are designed to be sent, not saved. You can publish a message
form to a folder, but you cannot make a message form the default form for a
folder.

Perhaps you could explain more about how you're planning to use this form.

For example: after creating a "New folder"in folder list, how can i send a
mail, using a custom form, just pressing the "New" button?
I've seen that this is possible doing : "Action" --> "New [Custom Form]"
But there's still a problem: When I send my custom message, it arrives like
if it was a standard mail, without my modifications....

Have you any ideas?

Thank's for all

You can use a separate post form to launch your message form. See
http://www.outlookcode.com/d/forms/formlauncher.htm

If you want someone else to see your custom form, they need access to the
custom form definition? In most cases, this means publishing it to the
Organizational Forms library or each person's Personal Forms library.

I've create a Template. OFT following these specific instructions:
http://www.uncc.edu/sysdev/HowTos/Outlook/Creating Templates in Outlook.htm
But I've still one problem.
When I open the template, I don't find my signature that I find when press
"New Mail".
Why??? I must insert the signature in template??

Another question.
When click "New Office Document" in Start-->Menu, I don't see my OFT
template while I can see the .dot and .xlt custom template
Why?

Thank you very much, Sue

Office 2003 SP1 allows custom message forms to show the user's automatic
signature.

An .oft form is not considered an Office document template.

......bad, very bad.

First way.
How can I open a .OFT Template whit "New Office Document" ?
I want to open the Template with the default signature.

Second Way.
When I send to myself the custom form (Message), I receive a standard mail.
If click "Forward", I see the Custom Form.
I confused...

1) I already told you that .oft files won't appear in the New Office
Document dialog.

If you want your default signature to appear automatically, apply Office
2003 SP1.

2) Did you design a read layout for your form by clicking the Edit Read
Layout button in design mode?

1. Ok, Thank's. Nothing...

2. Ehm...No, I did not design a read layout for my form by clicking the Edit
Read
Layout button in design mode........I did not know the difference of the two
buttons..."Pardone moi".

we are nearly to the end. Now. In my Custom Form (the name is "TEST"), I
edit Action tab for the "Reply" and "Reply to all". Set "Form Name" to TEST
(Message class: IPM.Note.TEST). Publish Form
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=294373).

I send myself the custom form, I see correctly custom form, I reply corretly
custom form. But.....If I send my custom form to my friend, He see corretly
message, but when he click to "Reply" it appears a Msgbox "The form you
selected could not be displayed"...
In the custom form is checked "send form definition with item"
In this link (http://www.pcquest.com/content/server_side/102110501.asp) I
read that I must create another custom form and here set the Action Reply. Is
it right? But should I create two identical custom forms (in one I should set
an "action" tab for calling the other)?

....I don't find a simple guide that it explains the matter...

The Custom Form is publish on my "Personal Forms Library".
I don't see the "Organizational Forms library"...
Can it be a problem?

Then either you're not working with Exchange as your mail server or the
Exchange administrator has not created the Organizational Forms library. In
either case, your friend will also need to publish the form to his Personal
Forms Library with the same message class, IPM.Note.TEST. Think about it:
Without access to the published form by that name, how would Outlook know to
use that form for the reply?

I don't succeed when publish the custom form in Organization Form Library.
I've a msgbox "Form load failed" and "an error occurred while going to this
folder"

I publish the custom form in specific folder of Public Folder.
I look that in
http://www.officekb.com/Uwe/Forum.a...possible-to-publish-a-form-ONLY-to-the-public , ther's a similar example.
But I want that my friend could using a custom form whend click reply.
In Design, I do not succeed when set "Reply" and "Replay to all" because
ther isn't public folder in combobox.
How is possible?
Thank for all !!!!

Check with the Exchange administrator to see whether you have write
permission on the Organizational Forms library. If not, you can't publish
there.

You cannot use a form published to a folder as a reply form.

Argh!!!
I discard the idea for set "Reply" and "Reply to All" with my custom form....
I can't have the permission for write on Organizational Forms library.
I continue with my project. Thank you, Sue
