I just tried to download a menu flash program that I'd like to try. It quit
downloading due to this error:

failed to register COM (ActiveX) control:
C"\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash8.ocx
Failure code returned by DllRegisterServer (0)

What does that mean?

This is not a FrontPage question. You'll have to contact the company that
you were trying to download the product from.

Try going to the www.adobe.com website and finding the download for the
latest flash player. It may be that it is trying to register the flash
player and it's failing. It could also be that you already have a newer
version of the flash player installed on your computer and the program is
attempting to load an earlier version and failing because a newer version is
already installed. Your best bet is to contact the company who wrote the
menu program and send the error directly to them.

The current version is 9.0xxx something. I just love programs that try to
force install old versions.
