Error Messages

When I select a user from the inital XP screen, I get two
error messages:

1 "Can't get stats"
2 "main window cannot beinitialized" (I think)

I have only recently loaded XP from a clear hard disk, so
could someone tell me what is causing these error
messages.

Hav echecked the knowledge base for the first error
message without any success.

Have never seen 'can't get stats" in any MS error message. Is it possible
this is being caused by one of your installed programs that is allowed to
load at startup? Are you able to get into Windows at all? If yes:

-Use Start>Run>eventvwr.msc to look for more detailed error messages in
Event Viewer.

-Use Start> Run> MSCONFIG to examine your startup programs and your
non-Microsoft services. You can use this tool to disable these things. Log
off, log back on again. If no error message, add one of those items back.
Repeat until the last thing you added causes the error(s) to reappear.
