1. Format & reinstall Windows. A Repair Install is NOT going to fix this.

or...

2. Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis
log to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

by an expert in such matters, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

Please explain what exactly you did after you discovered
the virus. You cannot really "reload hardware" but you
can reload the operating system and the applications. Is this
what you did? Did you allow the disk to be formatted
before you started the loading process?

The real problem is that you are infected with malware, and it's the
malware that's telling you this.

If you just reinstalled Windows, the easiest thing to do is probably
just to reinstall it again. You probably don't yet have a big
investment in loading software and data, and configuring things. This
time be careful to run a firewall, anti-virus, and antispyware
software from the very beginning.

In fact download the anti-virus and anti-spyware software *now* and
burn it to a CD. Then after reinstalling Windows, install them
*before* you connect the computer to the internet.
