Error messages upon opening IE

Tom

I hope you all can help me. Every time I open MSIE (6.0)
for Windows XP, it asks me whether or not I want to send my
error to Microsoft to see if they have a fix. If I say no,
it automatically closes Internet Explorer. If I say yes,
it brings up another error and asks me again whether or not
I want to send my NEW message to Microsoft. I've
downloaded Service Pack 1 and it didn't seem to help the
situation at all. If I try to open Internet Explorer twice
consecutively, I get one error message, and in the
background, IE opens... briefly. Then, when I close one
error message, another comes up. I am not sure exactly
what I should do. Windows Update does not work and I've
been trying to use Netscape. I hope you guys can help me.
Thanks so much.

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

If nothing there helps, please post back to this thread.
