Error messages on startup.

We have WinXP SP3.

On starting up the computer we get the following error
messages:


1/ "Product Identification Failure" Please reinstall the
Program.


then we get:


2/ "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library.
Program C...

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in
an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more
information.


then we get:

3/ "Office Settings Restorer" has encountered a problem &
needs to close.


Can someone please help in fixing this problem? Frank
 
Start off by checking what programs are set to auto run whan you start your
PC, one or more of them is causing this problem
