I am creating an Access97 database on a Windows2000 PC and have encountered some error during this process. While I have been able to resolve the problems, most of the error messages are showing up in German.

Can anybody help me discover how to correct this and set it correctly to English? I've checked the Regional Options under Control Panel and searched everywhere for anotehr setting, but have been unsuccessful.

Thank you,

I have no idea whether this will help or not, but here is a post I saved
from long ago regarding error messages suddenly showing in
German. Hope it helps

<start>
I have seen several references to Access Jet Error messages suddenly being
given in German. I had the same problem which I tracked
down to a "faulty" version of "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSJINT35.DLL". The
"faulty" version was 145Kb in size; the correct one only 121
Kb. Both were dated 24/04/98 00:00 (UK date settings) and both are Version
'3.51.0623.0'. If you inspect its Properties (right-click
in Explorer) the Language property of the "faulty" one is 'German
(Standard)'. That probably explains why it gives German error
messages! I don't know how mine got altered - if anyone else does, I would
be pleased to know.
<end>

Try and find a pristine version of MSJINT35.dll.
