I am unable to open IE6, as I recently received an error
message:

IEXPLORE has caused an invalid page fault in module
KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff7a388

I have tried reinstalling IE6 from Microsoft's tech support
(downloading using Netscape), but still no help. Have also
tried repairing IE6 through the add/remove option in
control panel, but no success.

I would appreciate help from anyone who knows or has
experienced this problem.

thank you in advance.... pat kordet

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
