Error message

Please help!!

All of a sudden every time I try to access the internet
using explorer I get the following error message:

Explorer has caused an error (unkown)
If you continue to experience the problem close and try
restarting the computer.

I have tried restarting, shutting down dozens of times.
Sometimes I can get on only to get this message as I surf
different sites.

Once I got the same message as above but instead of unkown
it said kernel
