still can't burn to a disc, keep getting error message that says "encountered
unknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system
component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the
problem to the player". What is the soultion to regaining the ability to
burn from a playlist that has been loaded from a disc. The music in question
has been downloaded once at least and worked ok, now I get the message.
Yesterday while on line at a info site, my A drive turned on and continued
to run, there were no other open programs and no disc in A drive. This
continued and all
activity within the site was locked, after a while I tried to re-boot and
that would not respond either. I had two messages come up, 1 said something
about a smax4pnp was shutting down and I missed the full content of the
other message but it said something about an exe program closing.
After this is when I first saw the error message. Any ideas???

Are you getting this error code?
C00D11CD: Unknown error
Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when
another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does
not communicate the nature of the problem to Windows Media Player.

Because this generic message can be displayed in a wide variety of
circumstances, there is no single solution.
