I recently bought a new Vaio Somy Computer with Windows
Movie maker installed. After creating a movie I get a
error message that CD is not a recordable CD when trying
to Copy Movie to Drive "E" which is my DVD drive. I have
tried all the troubleshooting suggestions and this has
not helped. There is a brand new Memorex DVD - RW Disc in
Drive "E". What do I do next?

Is your drive E: a cd/dvd burner all in one? What format
are you trying to burn in and what file extensions are
you using? You may want to try selecting Retry on the
error box when it comes up. You may want to try burning
you video to CD-R as a VCD. I've done that and it's
worked just fine.

START/MY COMPUTER/right click on burner drive/PROPERTIES/click on "RECORDER"
tab/make sure box entitled 'enable recording' is checked.

It probably is not checked. Most burning programs do not require it to be
checked but MM2 will not recognize burning capability unless it is checked.
