I had games from a 311 running on XP for 9mths and now it says I can not run
them cause it says, Heading "16 bit windows subsystems"
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.NT. will not run on msdos.
These games are running ok on my second pc (also with XP) but they will not
run on my main PC an I missing somthing in this pc.
Any Idears ? would love to have them running on this pc again.
Regards Will

Hi William,

You can solve that problem by replacing the file:

1. Browse to C:\WINDOWS\repair
Right-Click and Copy the file named: autoexec.nt *

2. Browse to C:\WINDOWS\System32
Right-Click in that window to Paste the file
(Answer yes if prompted to replace existing file)

* Note: If the file autoexec.nt doesn't exist on your system
Save this version to your C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder
by right clicking the link below and using the "Save As.." option:
http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/AUTOEXEC.NT
